Student Intern Program

The Survey is soliciting for student interns to work on a wide variety of projects. Many of these projects could be adapted to term paper topics. All projects will provide valuable hands-on experience. Examples of current projects that could benefit from intern involvement are:

Stratigraphy of glacial materials in buried valleys
GIS mapping of aquifer recharge areas
GIS digital geologic mapping
Analysis of pollution-site geophysical data
Offshore Research

Interns should be college juniors or seniors in, or graduates of geological sciences, water resources, and geography programs. Most of the work will be in the Survey offices in Ewing, but some could take place elsewhere. The Survey is a regulatory-support and research organization in the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
